OFC, I have Turkey for Thanksgiving. But for Christmas it's always baked ham. I prefer ham to Turkey any day.

YUM Lilacs! Turkey for thanksgiving, ham at the Christmas party (although I'm thinking of having Steve smoke a turkey for the party this year) and prime rib on Christmas Eve.

This year we are going to Hawaii on Christmas day so maybe Kahlua pig? I don't know what the Hawaiians eat for Christmas and frankly I don't care 'cause I'm going to be in Hawaii!!!

Bring it on! I love Halloween, it officially kicks off the holiday season.

Oh, and I love caramels! Can't wait to put the kids to be tomorrow so I can raid their candy buckets! Wahoooooooo....................

Shari, what time do you want us all there for dinner? I can bring a big appetite, LOL.

Every year for Christmas, my employer gives us all baked Honey Ham. I usually have it with yams, mashed potatos, green beans my home made gravy, and of course, glaze for the ham. I always have lots of ham left over, so I freeze it and have a big pot of Black Eyed Beans later in the month with it. And of course, the corn bread, can't forget that.

Lew, next time try boiling some of that extra ham with navy beans. hmm hmm good!

    Yes, I know it's late but I couldn't sleep.

I do navy beans too, Shari, but like the Black Eyed beans better (my daughters hate them, LOL). My cornbread often turns out more like cornbread cake, though. Still eats good, LOL.

Our traditional Christmas dinner is prime rib and yorkshire pudding. YUM. My sister stole Christmas one year (decided it was at her house that year) and thought she'd have Cornish Game Hens instead. NOT!!! There was public outcry and we had the traditional. Awesome meal!!

Lew, here in NC we call them black eye peas.

We called them peas in Florida too, Shari. But out here in Washington, these sort of yankeefied people call them beans. I can't even buy good Guava Jelly out here!
