Yeesh, this THREAD! Evidently I've stirred up stronger feelings than I had planned!

    HUMANS ARE WEIRD. LOL.

They've been digging in the Euphrates Valley and have uncovered a layer of agrarian culture 8,000 years old, and an older caveman culture. Recently, they reached another layer of fused green glass.

    SYN,

You stirred up nothing in me, this is something I've ALWAYS felt strongly about.

    SaintSatan,

I read your newspaper quotes. I believe you have a right to be critical of our government. I was wondering though, what do you believe the U.S. should do to protect ourselves and our allies against terrorism?

    SYN,

Yeah, that's what I was trying to say, he should bomb their brains out, but do it responsibly.

I take it that your joking?

Although I think everybody by now knows that he wants to finish his Daddy's job!

I believe your talking about Iraq? Do you believe Saddam is harmless?

    Reborn2002,

Please read the following with two grains of salt. This is the great thing about life, if we all agreed it wouldn't be any fun!

If the US spent more time giving financial aid to it's own underprivileged citizens instead of playing peacekeeper and supercop for the rest of the world and to their governments, then we might actually have something to be joyful about.
As a nation, I wish we could mind more of our own business, and not piss my tax dollars away. We are hated through out the world for being a supercop and banker.

Four things I'd like to point out.

    1. If we hadn't taken on the role of supercop, you and I would probably speak Russian very well.

    2. I feel we're stuck playing supercop for a while, I don't believe we have much choice for now. Reborn2002, do you own a car? Do you need oil and gas to get back and forth to work? Do you think your job or business depends upon a stable world?

    3. If not us, who else would step up to the plate?

    4. It's humorous to me, that you believe our government, is responsible to hand out our money we've earned. Then redistribute it to people who haven't lifted more than a finger to cash their government check. Redistribution of wealth is socialism, no matter if it's on a state, national or international level.

P.S. Bush won get over it. He is the best REPUBLICRATE we've ever had.

By "finishing his Daddy's job", I was just using a form of speech more interesting than saying "blow up Iraq", and I didn't really mean anything by it.

    St Satan,
Not all aid is financial, Sharon should have had Bush's FULL backing in his attack on the terrorist structure put in place and/or allowed to thrive under Arafat. Why aren't you crying about Arafat using the millions in aid money he's recieving to fund terrorism?
of course he aint totally dumb is he. The reason he wont come out and openly give full backing to sharon is that it will get the muslim world off side. One being saudi arabia. A nation he needs to get at Sadam.

It's called diplomacy. He's walking a tight line. You just cant say what you want and call a spade a spade in politics.

Part of the problem the World faces today with Terrorism comes because no one has been willing to take a Hardline against them. Axis of Evil? THEY ARE EVIL! Call a spade a spade for Chrissake.
This was a dumb thing for Bush to say. But I think Rice and Powell worked over time to mend the potenial damage? I think it was statement design more for internal consumption within the US, but hey, the world is listening. The statement about Iraq can be understood. But Nth Korea was a bit of a red herring at the time. Saying stuff like to to a nation with nukes is pretty silly and only serves to increase tensions and put relations back. Iran was too. There is a lot of turmoil over there, from what I understand, between more liberal elements and the more conservative religious nutbags. Bushs statement really could have done some damage there. I know the whole of Ausralia pretty much gasped and said "what the fuck is this dick doin'" when he came up with that Axis of evil BS. What a hoot! oh well!

    Gweedo,

I can always count on you to take the Liberal (read WRONG) side of a discussion. Iran has been funding Terrorism since the first days of the Ayatollah Khomenie and STILL IS. North Korea is starving it's own people in order to fund it's military THAT is EVIL.
