The October Kingdom Ministry for the United States reported the 2014 Memorial Attendances for the US branch office that has subsequently been well discussed in a separate thread. In that thread, a poster asserted that in some parts of Europe the attendance had been higher than last year - but to date no source evidence has been provided.

So, have Memorial attendances for other parts of the world been reported in any of the publications such as Kingdom Ministryyet?

If so, could you direct me to the source(s). Thank you.

With any luck the lack of replies on this thread may mean that other countries attendaces were not reported in local Kingdom Ministries. I also asked for anyone knowing the UK figure but nothing has turned up so far. So maybe in many lands there has been no increase.

It's interesting that they report the attendance for this year's memorial for the US branch territory ( which turns out to be fewer than in 2011) but appear not to report the attendances in the kingdom ministry for other countries.

Don't have the 2013 numbers here to compare but the 2014 numbers are:

    Estonia: 6,875

    Latvia: 3,725

    Lithuania: 5,451

    Finland: 26,669

    October Kingdom Ministry 2014 Japan

It says "We are pleased that we had 307,071 attendance last memorial..."

The column never mentions last year reports or comparisons.

Here are the actual memorial attendances in Japan for a decade.

    YEAR ATTENDANCE
    2004 348,397
    2005 338,330
    2006 336,240
    2007 331,172
    2008 332,986
    2009 326,983
    2010 322,845
    2011 323,211
    2012 314,111
    2013 310,215
    2014 307,071

Its funny they should say "We are pleased". Yes, decline ratio is somewhat smaller than last year!

Man, Japan is always ahead of the trends - declining since 2004!

Wow - over a 10% decline in Memorial attendance in Japan over 10 years!

Likely explanation: elderly JWs are dying, and most kids are not sticking around, and virtually NO ONE from the "field" is entering....

This, I suspect, is what the worldwide numbers will show over the next few decades....

Looks like 0.5% increase in these countries.

    2011 2013 2014
    Estonia 7,351 6,671 6,875
    Finland 26,950 26,810 26,669
    Latvia 3,977 3,747 3,725
    Lithuania 5,555 5,285 5,451

Thanks Nostromo for the 2014 memorial attendances for the above countries. As can be seen, all show decrease compared to three years ago, although a couple show some relative increase over last year. But the overall trend is one of attrition in memorial attendance - although not yet as spectacular as Japan's shrinkage.
