International Convention...Same Message, Same Emotional Manipulation

Another thing that disturbed me about the convention...during one talk the speaker was going on about how great the 'apathy trollies' are. He also stated what appeared, to me, to be a slight change in policy, that those stationed at a cart should actively engage people walking by. Then, he twice exorted the audience (even though probably only 1% could be approved to operate a cart) to "Sick 'em!" as if the JWs are to emulate rabid attack dogs.

I've strained my eye to see the literature carts in a couple of locations in my region. You have to look really hard to identify who is staffing the carts because the Witnesses either sit out of view focusing intently on their ipads or they wander away so that no one is near the cart.

Also, the carts have to "compete" with all the other people out selling their noisy wares.

Contrary to what the organization may have hoped, "witnessing" with the literature carts is virtually "invisible" from the public's point of view.
