Great job, Agonus. I abused alchohol when I was a teenager, due to the influence of some family members. But, as I got more mature I realized that I didn't need that to feel good. Keep up the good work

Rubbish. Cranks and ignoramuses should be ignored, agonus.
"Once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic" is an unfortunate truism.
When needed, help - as provided by organizations like Alcoholics Anonymous - is the best you can get.
Have a strategy for when the need might take over, and avoid situations which might lead to any temptation to return.
No amount is safe for you (the risk being a return). Abstention is the only way.
This said, to get to 6 months is a milestone. Well done!

Congratulations!
For me the first 12 months were the hardest. I will be 4 years sober this December. Quitting was the best thing I ever did.
