How about suggesting to your sister that this can be a great time to reflect, re-evaluate her priorities? And then take her out on social outings as much as possible. There's been lots of exJW's that woke up during this enforced isolation. If you take the sting out, help her stand tall, this can be her exit.

I am with Steve on this. Your sister will have to jump through hoops now. She confessed so she was repentant, she shouldn't have been Df'd in the first place. She will have to go to all the meetings and prepare her WT and Draw Close to Jehovah book to prove she is repentant and still there are no guarentees the elders will see her as repentant. She will have to go to another JC and talk explicitly.

I was Df'd unjustly. I tried to get RI'd five times until I quit. I recoreded my last JC and realised they would never RI me. Thankfully I realised, with the help of sites like this, that holy spirit was not guiding my JC or the WT org.

Perhaps she would like to listen to my JC recording

Show your sister unconditional love and acceptance.

That should stand in stark contrast to the WT's judgmentalism.

If nothing else, she will know that someone truly loves her and accepts her.

Crazyguy - "Don't let her have metal problems with this."

    Can't have that.

She'll go all tattoos, piercings, and black leath... oh wait, you meant mental problems.

    Sorry.

She is an adult ? And her parents will now treat her like a child ?

Well the Elders have already treated her like a child of course.

And now she will have to slink into the KH all shamefaced ?

Because her husband left her and she was lonely ? This might as well be

the Tabliban, or some village in Pakistan, they would of course stone her

if they could. My suggestion is to work out a strategy, have her enroll

in some "acceptable" community college courses aimed at her getting

a job, like an X-Ray technician, or a medical technician of some sort,

there are many technicians needed, clean work, good pay, security.

With financial independence, her life and outlook and self esteem, will

improve. Her parents did nothing to protect her, because I am sure they

encouraged her to "confess" and she was already guilty, and miserable,

and confused, and feeling low self worth, and no mercy was shown to her.

If she could only get some training that would allow her independence,

and then move away, and see her parents on visits only. Going back to

the same congregation will only prolong her suffering.

    Jeezus...

...put it that way, it's almost like they don't want XJWs to come back.
