Why secular?

and give them guns. Its interesting that someone here would bring up launch codes and nuclear weopons. They are all just tools. If we were a little bit regresive we would be arguing over flint and a good fire. A good fire by the way can save your life.
Because imaginary people with bad moral codes shouldn't be encoded into law.
Or, if you would prefer they NOT be secular, how about they all go with Sharia law, or an OT version of the law? Slaves and having women as property wasn't all bad, amirite or amirite?

That was a joke in response to Cofty's statement to put all of the fundamentalist from all religions on one planet. It creates a problem that solves itself.
How about going with the law of doing to others as you would have them do to you?
Never a need for improvement there.
Sylvia
Because that's a flawed law.
Agreed Sylvia
There is always room for improvement. If you, for instance, would like to be randomly hit in the face by strangers, that law would mean you would go around doing that to others.
So, bad law.
DO (proactive) to others as you would want them to DO (proactive) to you.
Where's the flaw?
Sylvia
Because not all people would like the same things done to them.
