Smiddy ---- I have no motive whatsoever. I was actually curious about what these flat earth geezers were trying to prove and found myself becoming intriuged by some of the videos by Eric Dubay - who comes across as rather intelligent individual with some incredible facts. I therefore decided to download his book the flat earth conspiracy. I was just curious if anyone else had been looking into such and see what the response would be. For instance I will attach the following video. I admit I am a little gullible at times, but what he actually says about planes landing on a 700 -1000 mph rotating earth is a bit of a quandary in my mind. Put aside what is referred to in the video regarding secrets kept by kings, rulers and freemasons etc. Put that aside and try to debunk what he is saying about the planes travelling east and west on a rotating planet.

Consider a small scale example..... A car driving up on a moving tractor trailer (think knight rider) ... Why dosent the car fly off the back of the trailer? Both have the same relative speed and it offsets

There you go, you worked out your dilemma.

Hi SBF. I paid Truthexplorer to start this thread just to flush you out the shadows.

Laugh all you want, hell, I'm laughing, but the OP is right, The Flat Earth Society really does exist. It's been around for decades. Thomas Dolby ("She Blinded Me With Science") is a charter member! His second album was titled "The Flat Earth".

Not saying I believe them, just saying that they do, indeed, exist.

Also, there are people who believe that "We never went to the moon"!

I'm sure that somewhere out there, there's a group of people that believe that the Earth is held in position by resting on the back of a giant turtle!

I recall seeing a video years ago that examined the assertions of the Flat Earth Society. I recall their ideas seemed rather odd and contrary to reason and evidence. I most recall the flat earth woman who wandered off to find the edge of the world in the wasteland of Antarctica, alone. She was never seen again.

She most certainly found the edge but the earth isn't flat.

I have been thinking on this. I don't believe the earth is flat as Eric Dubay says.

I recently have taken a class in college about astronomy. It is well proven without a doubt that earth is round.

You can prove it to yourself. Just look at the moon. Is it round? It it looks round to you, it doesn't matter what other people think, do you think that it is a round flat disk orbiting our planet? How does it goes into different phases? Now, think about this, is earth a flat disk floating into space? When the moon goes into different phases, except on full moon, what covers the moon? A flat earth disk?

I have been to Griffith Observatory many times, I live near there. I have seen different planets with telescopes that they have. None of the planets seems to be a flat planet orbiting the sun to me. Why would earth be different from those other planets?

Now, it's okay to me if those books make you think different. I'm not gonna shun you for that. The Watchtower society manages people to think different from the rest of Christianity using the Holy Book (even going beyond what it is crystal clear in there). Could it be the case that Mr. Dubay is trying also to cause controversy on well establish scientific evidence?

    Just my two cents.
