Is it a tradition in your congregation for the visiting speaker to give the final prayer on Sunday?

Everywhere I been. It's not written as a rule to my knowledge but I suspect it was a suggestion made by "mama" way back when and adhered to ever since.

The KM 5/07 is interesting as it not only says that the visiting speaker will usually close with prayer but it also says, in reference to the public meeting:

The chairman (or perhaps another qualified brother assigned in advance) will open the meeting with prayer

This reminded me that when I was a MS and used to serve as the chairman I once asked another brother to do the opening prayer and was hauled up afterwards in front of the PO (as he was called then) to be told that it was accepted practice for the chairman to offer the prayer. This was before 2007 but I'd love to have remembered this in the times since as I would then have asked someone else every time!
