I don't normally post on this site as it makes me cranky but after listening to the 'Human Apostate' talk I feel compelled to write this.
Firstly ~ Is the the title 'Human Apostates' going to be the 'new' JW catchphrase, etc the 'truth', Governing body, new system...
Secondly ~ Judging by the criteria of a 'human apostate', most of mankind qualify. Not just ex JW's.
Thirdly ~ For a scripted talk, it was very poorly written.
As far as am aware, a blood transfusion on a child is a medical procedure, so are they suggesting all hospital staff are apostates for opposing their views? If thats the case, they should be shunnng those as well and having no contact with them.
To suggest that people who accuse them of habouring paedofiles are apostates, would that include judges, police, solicitors, the entire legal system, and the victims themselves? Then they should be shunned also according to ther 'criteria'.
To suggest that just because they taught us a few bible truths, that you should then just beleve anything else they tell us, is like getting the best starter you have ever had at a restaurant, and then being told to eat every other course consisting of dog crap, just because the starter was amazing.
If the WTBTS has a problem wth apostates, then they should encourage their members to deactivate their facebook, twitter accounts etc. I wonder how many people were on their mobile phones while this talk was being gven, updating their statuses?
Finally...I am NOT a 'human apostate', I am NOT a follower of Satan. I don't feed at his table. I'm not really anti JW and Dear WTBTS...I take offense to your slanderous accusations!
