How do you prepare your taco meats?

    Yes tinker, came from Mom. She only used olive oil as well. Which drove me crazy when she would put the salad dressing in the fridge.

    She used to cook the chili's and tomatos on the skillit as well. Sometimes filling the house with smoke. Best Chili Rellenos

    chorizo is very tasty and rich. Try a little cooked in a skillet before you use it in a recipe. A tablespoon size scoop of the uncooked sausage will render about a teaspoon of grease. Yum.

    First, I finds me some fresh meat that is all natural, no chemical additives. I skins it and roasts it over a charcoal fire- then I cuts it up real nice- like fajita meat, only smaller- makes a nice taco.

    I use McCormick's Taco Seasoning a lot. It is great in chicken tortilla soup, tacos of course, taco salad - anything Messican. You can use a lot for flavor, but it doesn't have too much salt - I usually have to add salt.
