WHAT'S A QR CODE?
A QR Code (it stands for "Quick Response") is a cell phone readable bar code that can store website URL's, plain text, phone numbers, email addresses and pretty much any other alphanumeric data.
Storing up to 4296 characters they are internationally standardised under ISO 18004, so a QR code is a QR code all over the world - they've been big in Japan forever, broke into Europe and the UK a few years back, and are now getting real traction in USA.
Think "print-based hypertext links" and you'll get the idea.

I have notice when giving some computer help to novices in this area, that sometimes they would type the URL in a search page like Google. The WTBS would not want that :)

How many of you use Qr codes. apart from getting a reset code from google or bing or avg, i have never

Secondly how many people use smart phones, that support qr codes?.
it is a weak idea!.
little thinking has gone into it, seems like some of the lads are getting to make irational calls in the WTBS without actually thinking it through.
maybe someone is getting a cut somewhere down the line...
Does the DO actually have a QR compliant smart phone?.

Jesus, that is so pathetic, Londo111 is right: it is way easier to just type jw.org.
Now, when are we getting an article on "Young People Ask: Smartphones--Do I Really Need One?" and questions like,
"Will I be able to afford the rates a 3G Internet connection? Will I have to work extra hours to pay for these? Would this time be better spent in the ministry? Will I be tempted to access pornographic websites and thus put my relationship with Jehovah in jeopardy? Even if I do go to apparently harmless websites, will I be able to control the time I spend surfing the Interweb [how some GB members sometimes think it's called] so as not to neglect more important things?
