Many of these points were introduced at the AGM in October. They have been discussed on this forum many times over the past 6 months.

In other words, the GB reckon they will stop making up pretend explanations for biblical content??

Except when it suits their creationist millennialist ethnocentric exceptionalist end-time eschatology property investment kleptocratic timocracy.

Not really a big shift in doctrines other than a small admittance that the WTS has been commercializing false teachings as a means to proliferate its own literature and cultivate in coming money and donations.

Since we have a huge amount money $$$ and property assets, in the future we are not going to bullshit and deceive people as much.

We have been given new light from god on this matter but we are still god's chosen

    Publishing House.

    Amen .. Praise Jah

    The Wicked and Sluggish Slave.

    Former explanation:
The wicked and sluggish slave refers to anointed ones in the 1914 era who refused to share in the preaching work.

    Omitted explanation:
For decades the wicked and sluggish slave refers to the lazy ones of Babylon the Great.

    Adjusted explanation:
Jesus was not foretelling that a group of his anointed followers would make up a wicked slave class. Rather, he was warning his followers about what would happen if they thought and acted in a way that would cause him to view them as wicked and sluggish.

With the new explanation of mog and Magog being a group of nations from Central Asia to North African attacking god people ( either JWs or the Modern day state of Israel ).

Now they are teaching gods people will be taken to heaven before the tribulation?

Maybe they finally figured out how easy it was for US evangelical ministries to raise money and they decided they want a piece of the action. I wonder what is next, an assembly on how the WTS supports the troops.

If you haven't as of yet taken in the realization that the WTS has been a commercialized false prophet for over a century, you really must have your head up your ass.

The WTS exploited the present belief in the bible to support its corruptly devised doctrines. Labeling their subservient and devout members as faithful lambs following Christ and god's will and purpose.

In contrary labeling people who follow other religions (false) as goats being lead away from true worship by Satan's influence and these ones will not meet god's requirement to live in a earthly paradise and be saved from being killed in the soon to come judgment day of Armageddon.

They are still teaching 1919. See paragraph 9:

In the time of the end, particularly from 1919 on, Christ’s faithful anointed slaves on earth have been doing business with the Master’s talents....

J Rutherford the head editorial writer and president for the WTS at the time, made that announcement in 1919 to vilify his teachings and create a semblance of viability to the literature he wrote and published, as well draw in more attention to the literature sold to the public.

Yet this man and his newly taken over publishing house (WTS.) was still teaching Pyramidology celebrating birthdays, using the Cross image, celebrating Christmas and building lavish homes for himself said to be designed and built for the returning ancient worthies spoken about in the bible. Not to mention separated from his wife and living with a mistress and assistant.

The WTS/JWS is really an Americanized form of free wheeling unregulated charlatanism .

Lemonparty.org - "All unbiblical 'types and antitypes' are now dropped."

The WTS has been slowly but surely divesting themselves of Fred Franz's theological musings and conspiracy theories for a couple decades now, mostly because the simple passage of time has shown them to be... well... nuts.

In retrospect, that realization should have been a little more obvious, considering the guy (admittedly in his twilight years) spent his days wandering around Bethel, dressed like Herb Tarleck, and muttering to his shoes.

    Probably academic, anyway...

...these days, the majority of the R&F couldn't list the finer points of WT eschatology if their lives depended on it (which, ironically, would arguably be the case, according to said eschatology).

Thank you for the link, that does seem pretty big but i need to think about the implications....

There will be no implications in JW Land. JWs won't read this other than to underline work for word answers to the questions (and only about 10% will even do that). The other 90% never understood the types & anti-types. They won't see it a significant changes because they didn't understand the Old Lite and they won't understand the New Lite. They'll just nod and plod along and head out for burgers and beer right after the WT Study.
