Even worse, as long as the play is in motion, the game is still going even if the clock runs out. The guy could stop on the one in line and the clock runs out, until he is tackled or crosses the line, the game is still going on.

Why? What evidence and reasons did he give for stating this utterly presumptous tosh and cobblers. They are a disgrace constantly creating this sense of urgency in the gullible millions who love having their ears tickled with this nonsense.

There is not one single reason to suspect or believe that the so-called end of this system of things is just around the corner, just months or a few years away. The Watchtower Society doesn't have a scrap of crediblity left after dozens of failed predictions about how close we are to the end. They have the worst record of any religion for failed prophecy.

If you believe the Bible and that one day we will be in the 'season' or 'last days' then it could very easily be decades away yet. You could adopt Sir Isaac Newton's chronology, for example, and convincingly argue the end won't come until 2060. Or you could convincingly argue it won't come until 2070 based on John Denton's website at www.tangotango.org.uk for example.

JW's need to grow up and stop gullibly swallowing the GB's phoney, dramatic bollox. It's all designed to keep you blindly loyal to the organisation and your donation$ rolling in. Put these modern days apostles to the test like Rev 2 tells you to and prove them to be the liars they are.

Actually, I think in this illustration, the guy with the ball stops and is...

    A) ...looking around for the King of the North.

    B) ...looking down at the line to see if it's the beginning of the goalline, or the end of the goalline, or the beginning of the beginning of the goalline, or the beginning of the end of the goalline, or ...

    C) ...pulling out a diagram of the Great Pyramid of Giza and a pyramid inch ruler to see whether he is a pyramid inch away from the goal, meaning that it will require another year in order for him to reach the goal.

    D) ...waiting to hear someone cry "Peace and Security!"

    E) ...pulling out his cell phone to call the Legal Department because the other team put a "No Trespassing" sign in the end zone.

    F) Convinced that he passed an invisible goal-line already and is now enjoying a parousia in a spiritual end-zone.

To us, what exactly would "Run" mean? More meetings. More field service, more donations?

They give this lame o illustration without a clear meaning when they are afraid to say what is obvious to them.

R: yes, running on that WT Treadmill, permanentely placed on the I yard line, going nowhere , for JWs are stuck in time, not moving, but, service, meetings, contributions, now with TV episodes.

Ah, but what Jackson forgot to mention is that one inch line is actually an "overlapping" line.

Jackson is clueless about where the end zone is. In summer of 2005, I heard him speak at a dist conv. Referring to the end of this system and that it could be a few more years, he said "it could be as late as 2008." So he was, in effect, saying that it wouldn't go past 2008. It's almost 2015.
