Isaiah was a prophet, Jeremiah was a prophet, when the "prophet Isaiah" and the "prophet Jeremiah" are said to have a modern-day counterpart, the anointed witnesses of Jehovah, referred to as the "Isaiah class" and the "Jeremiah class", what would that imply? Most of the time these terms are used, the "prophet" application is implied but not explicitly stated ... there have been instances though when it was made clear.

That is, do not do as Jehovah commanded the prophet Jeremiah, who pictured his witnesses today: "Whatsoever I shall command thee thou shalt speak. . . . And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee, saith Jehovah, to deliver thee."

    *** w77 12/15 p. 762 par. 12 "They Will Not Prevail Against You" ***
Jehovah knew that what he began commanding Jeremiah in 647 B.C.E. to speak to the inhabitants of the land of Judah would not please the majority. So he forewarned Jeremiah by frankly telling him that the kings of the land, the princes, the priests and the people of Judah would fight against him. His very life would be threatened. So, what if Jehovah had not promised the young prophet that all these foes would not prevail against him? Would he have had the heart to carry on doggedly for 40 years as Jehovah's "prophet to the nations" and finally see his vicious enemies go down in defeat? It is hard to think so! Jehovah's promise to Jeremiah of old applies to the Jeremiah class of today and to their supporters!

since our times correspond with the days of Jehovah's prophet Jeremiah, it is logical that there should be a class like Jeremiah today, coming in Jehovah's name. There is such! It is composed of the approved remnant of the "slave" class.

    *** w78 1/1 p. 22 par. 18 Enduring in Faithfulness ***
their real refuge lies in Jehovah's provision through Christ. He sends to them the modern-day Jeremiah class, with a message that means their salvation. No, the safety of such "Jonadabs" is not to be found in broken-down Christendom, but squarely on the side of Jehovah's modern-day "prophet."

    *** w79 9/15 p. 26 par. 19 The "Cup" That All Nations Must Drink at God's Hand ***
Courageously the Jeremiah class of today obey the command given to the prophet back there in the first year of the reign of Emperor Nebuchadnezzar over Babylon: "And as for you [Jeremiah], you will prophesy to them all these words, and you must say to them, ‘From on high Jehovah himself will roar, and from his holy dwelling he will give forth his voice. Without fail he will roar upon his abiding place. A shout like that of those treading the winepress he will sing out against all the inhabitants of the earth.'"-Jer. 25:30.

    *** w79 8/1 p. 9 par. 2 Why Will Christendom Not Survive? ***
Jehovah God has raised up his anointed witnesses to be a modern Jeremiah class. (2 Chron. 36:15, 16)

(2 Chronicles 36:15, 16) 15 And Jehovah the God of their forefathers kept sending against them by means of his messengers, sending again and again, because he felt compassion for his people and for his dwelling. 16 But they were continually making jest at the messengers of the [true] God and despising his words and mocking at his prophets, until the rage of Jehovah came up against his people, until there was no healing.

    *** w82 10/1 p. 27 par. 8 Be as Men Who Are Facing Har-Magedon Unafraid ***
the "prophet" whom Jehovah has raised up has been, not an individual man as in the case of Jeremiah, but a class. The members of this class are, like the prophet-priest Jeremiah, wholly dedicated to Jehovah God through Christ and, by the begettal of Jehovah's holy spirit, they have been made part of "a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for special possession." (1 Peter 2:9) At this late date there is a mere remnant of this "prophet" class yet on earth. The "war of the great day of God the Almighty" at Har-Magedon could not start before this composite "prophet" ends his work.

I love the WTS claims something, then claims they never claimed it.

    And JWs buy it!

"We are God's only channel of communication" but "we're just humble, fallible men."

    Well, which is it?

Armageddon is just around the corner and if you don't believe that and preach it door to door you will soon be annihilated.

But "we never claimed to be prophets."
