I think it's rather self serving and self centered to "announce" you're gay.... Really? I don't think anybody really cares... I don't see people "announcing" that they are straight, I think anybody cares about that either. Pretty soon the fantasy and glitz and bling about being gay will wear off.

People who are straight can live their lives without feeling they might have to adjust themselves to the majority etc.
