There was a time that elders did perform baptisms not waiting until an assembly or convention. Baptized in rivers, lakes, oceans, even a horse trough. People just showed up with the "proper" gear (big robes at one time) No 200 plus questions to go through with 3 elders.

What is the current explanation of "inner rooms"?

*** w09 5/15 p. 8 Where Should You Be When the End Comes? ***In our day, the “interior rooms” of this prophecy could be closely associated with the more than 100,000 congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses around the world. Such congregations play an important role in our lives. They will continue to do so through “the great tribulation.” (Rev. 7:14) God’s people are commanded to go into their “interior rooms” and hide themselves “until the denunciation passes over.” It is vital that we develop and maintain a wholesome attitude toward the congregation and be firmly resolved to stay in close association with it. We can take to heart Paul’s exhortation: “Let us consider one another to incite to love and fine works, not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as [we] behold the day drawing near.”—Heb. 10:24, 25.

*** w01 3/1 p. 21 par. 17 Salvation for Those Who Choose the Light ***Today, the “interior rooms” of the prophecylikely have to do with the tens of thousands of congregations of Jehovah’s people around the world. Such congregations are a protection even now, a place where Christians find safety among their brothers, under the loving care of the elders. (Isaiah 32:1, 2; Hebrews 10:24, 25) This is especially true in view of the nearness of the end of this system of things when survival will depend on obedience.—Zephaniah 2:3.

*** w98 8/15 p. 19 par. 14 Strengthening Our Confidence in God’s Righteousness ***In the near future, the greatest time of tribulation ever to strike the human race will break forth suddenly. (Matthew 24:21) When it does, servants of God will need as never before to display confidence in Jehovah’s righteousness and in the direction provided by his organization. In a symbolic way, they will then confidently obey God’s injunction: “Go, my people, enter into your interior rooms, and shut your doors behind you. Hide yourself for but a moment until the denunciation passes over.” (Isaiah 26:20) Already they have entered into the protective atmosphere of over 85,000 congregations in 232 lands. Whatever may additionally be included in the injunction “enter into your interior rooms,” we can be confident that Jehovah will help us to carry it out.

*** w88 1/15 p. 17 par. 8 Trust in Jah Jehovah! ***As Kingdom expansion moves to a climax, Jehovah’s call at Isaiah 26:20 rings forth: “Go, my people, enter into your interior rooms, and shut your doors behind you. Hide yourself for but a moment until the denunciation passes over.” No doubt the “interior rooms” of this prophecy are linked closely with the more than 54,000 citylike congregations that serve Jehovah’s Witnesses throughout the earth today. What Jehovah has in mind remains to be seen. But we can be sure that when he destroys the wicked, he will protect his trusting people, just as he did in Isaiah’s day in turning back the cruel Assyrian.—Isaiah 10:24-26.

    Child abuse scandal

More " TOKENS " of a different race on the Governing Body to attract that particular group of people

#1 Removal of the abstaining from blood doctrine (they will find some sneaky way to remove it with new light from Jegoobah).

#2 Sunday meetings will be reduced again with a shorter WT study that is only 30 minutes long.

#3 District conventions will become 2-day programs (since Saturday and Sunday are the highest attended anyway). They will say this is a loving provision because in these hard economic times, having to spend an extra night in a hotel room and/or missing a day of work can make things hard.

#4 As has been mentioned, view inactive ones as if they are disfellowshipped and shun them.

    1. The end to field service, replaced by....phone solicitation. (Their embracing of the internet is too little, too late and they can't control it. They are competely unprepared for Web 2.0)
    2. This next generation of born-in Witnesses will set up rogue social media connections with each other. There will be warnings from the platform which will be glibly ignored.
    3. All printing will be phased out in the next twenty years, replaced by online subscription. Nearly all Bethelites will be sent home.
    4. Active Witnesses who wish to remain in good standing, must sign up for monthly subscription. The society will report a deficit to the government every year to avoid taxes.
    5. The society will proclaim that Armageddon has come and gone, and we are living through a gradual transition to paradise over the thousand year reign. There will be greater emphasis on personal health, diet, and exercise; failures of which will excuse the mortality rate.
    6. The rural properties will be set up as analogues of paradise, featured as a spiritual Disneyland for the faithful.
    7. The society will stop publishing statistics.
    8. An addendum to the bible will be written after Armageddon, "spiritually" by the annointed, to guide believers through the next thousand years.

I should not be giving them ideas.

They will stop publishing the yearly count of the anointed.

They will eventually stop publishing comprehensive stats in favour of meaningless figures i.e. "We are overjoyed to report a 100% increase in publishers for the territory of Lesser Ingutax" (population 2)

The Awake! magazine will become a quarterly journal, as will the public Watchtower.

District conventions will become small enough to hold in circuit assembly halls, and will be reduced to 2 days.

More congregations will share, with excess property to be sold off. (After refurbishment)

I am afraid that the one prediction that will come about for sure, and might well be sooner than all your other excellent predictions, is the shunning of the inactive.

This will be motivated by the GB's fear of anyone who has "seen behind the curtain" as in the Wizard of Oz, but may well be a shot in the foot for them, I already know a good number who will not shun the DF'd as the WT would like, and as no scriptural support for the shunning of merely inactive ones is available, it is just another man made rule, to be ignored.

It may well wake up a good number to the reality, why the fear if you have the "truth" ?? Am I in a cult ??

Thanks everyone, some very interesting predictions indeed!

    My favourites so far:

    • District Conventions reduced to 2 days (Breakfast of Champions / Mr Freeze / Sapphy)
    • Negative growth in countries with high internet penetration - although I think that's a given! (Breakfast of Champions)
    • Baptisms by elders - great idea, would speed things up. (Borges)
    • No more "memorial partakers" figure in the worldwide report (Sapphy)
    • Quarterly Awakes - I'd never thought of that possibility! (Sapphy)
    • Combined KM and Study Edition WT, another conceivable cost-cutting measure, well done. (Mickey Mouse)

    Keep 'em coming!
