Really. Sorry, the end time is a long way off yet. A number of things must happen first, and its all middle eastern based. The 4th Beast (which isnt Rome) hasnt arrived yet.

We may be having Political and economical turmoil, but we are not in the end, nor are we anywhere near it.

Like all generations since Christ, they had their ups, downs, wars, famines, pestilences, and Antichrists, but the issues as spoken of in Matthew, Mark, Luke and Revelation.....they are a long way off yet, for when they do occur, it will be the most horrific time in all human history.

The wars Christ spoke of may be the wars that will be fought between the future Kings of the North and South (King of the South [Egypt] against King number 6-8 of the North [Assyria]).

    Oh no... not another one.

the future Kings of the North and South (King of the South [Egypt] against King number 6-8 of the North [Assyria])

There are no 'future kings of the north and south'. As I've said elsewhere previously... The story of the 'kings of the north and south' in Daniel chapter 11 are about Greek and Egyptian rulers up to the second century BC, which 'coincides ' with when the chapter is believed to have been written. The identification of verses 5-19 (by JWs and other scholars) with the Seleucus (I-II), Antiochus (II-III) and Ptolemy (I-V) lines is accurate enough. Unremarkably, the continuing verses can be attributed to their immediate successors without a great deal of effort:

VersesIdentificationKingNotes - See linked Wikipedia article for details
    20Seleucus IV Philopator
    (187BC-175BC)
NorthAttempted to raise funds, sending his prime minister, Heliodorus, to Jerusalem to confiscate the temple's treasures. ('Believers' instead attempt to connect this verse with Caesar Augustus as a 'Messianic prophecy') He was murdered by Heliodorus, "not in anger or in warfare", but for his throne.
    21-39Antiochus IV Epiphanes
    (175BC-164BC)
Northv.21: Took throne claiming to be co-regent, later killed the other
    v.22-24: Attacked Jerusalem.
    v. 25: Went to war with Egypt ('king of the south').
    v. 30b-39 Maccabean revolt; banned Jewish religion (the 'constant feature'),
    25-26Ptolemy VI
    (181BC-145BC)
Southv.25: At war with Antiochus IV
v.26: Driven out by his brother

The attribution of more recent identities is entirely fictitious. Even the connection with Aurelian and Zenobia was made up (it first appeared in December 31 1924 Golden Age, though Rutherford then claimed that the king of the south after that was Napoleon) let alone the ludicrous leap to the modern age. It is of course unsurprising that an 'end times' religion seeks to tenuously identify these 'mysterious' kings with the present day.

Is Putin campaigning for King now...

  • Yura Ivanova

Putin was already made King again a few weeks ago. He is now leader of Russia again, and for another 8 years. There is no one else of his character or strength to do the job. Medvedev was President for the past 4 years, but Putin was the real power. He is a clever guy, and someone the west should be wary of.

We live in exciting times. Wonderful events are happening now and more lie just ahead. May each one of us keep
pace with Jehovah’s organization. Let us heed the Scriptural counsel to look forward and not to look at the things behind.
We will thereby prove that we do “remember the wife of Lot”!

    What exciting times?

Wonderful events? Hello? What did I miss?

Keep pace with obeying the GB do you mean WBT$?

Scriptural counsel(TM) = obey the GB.

Remember the wife of Lot? Yeah, she's on my Chrismas card list for next year!

Here's a beauty from the 1985 reasoning book

" What would happen if fullfillment of the sign required that we wait until another all out war were to break out between the superpowers??? Such a war would leave few if any survivors.

    --------------------------------

"Such a war would leave few if any survivors."_.... you mean, kinda like .. Armageddon? _

    Interesting point...

A nuclear war, as bad as it could be, would still leave a percentage of the world's population alive. God's war, OTOH, would leave less than 1% alive. 7,000,000 alive from 7,000,000,000 is less than 1%. That is almost total annihilation. Mathmatically speaking, one has better odds of surviving a nuclear war than one would Armageddon.

Yet, the WTS tries to make Armageddon sound like a good thing while fear-mongering the prospects of a nuclear war...

I can imagine the worst case scenario. Worse than total annihilation. Suppose they round all of us up into confined human feedlots. (See videos on confined animal feedlots, and imagine living like that.) All children are conceived through artificial insemination, and snatched from the mother at birth. People are programmed to be slaves for their first 20 years, by people that hate children and have a strict agenda to follow or they get slaughtered. They spend the next 30 years doing what they hate most all the time. When they no longer are able or willing to do that, they get slaughtered and that will be their retirement (Agenda 21+).

Is Jehovah going to somehow come in and stop Agenda 21+? Hardly. And, would only his people benefit if he did? Again, hardly--if Agenda 21+ was stopped by Jehovah, it would be everyone and not just his people that would be liberated. Given that he has such a lousy track record at stopping crap like that, he would do nothing more than what he did to break up the First Dark Ages. Which is nothing. Either way, where is the benefit of becoming a witless? And, if everyone in the world is warned, what can they do to prevent it if the few get such a stranglehold on your money, your wealth, and communications that they can implement it 5 against 700 trillion, let alone 5 against only 7 billion? Isn't the witlessing work just a waste of time that could have been used to enjoy things while you still could?
