I remember reading about those transcripts from the 1950s hearing in Scotland regarding "obedience at all costs".
I have to tell you that it was one of the most shocking things that I, as an active JW at the time (2000), ever read about the religion. This was the year of "no illusions" for me. I felt like the rug was pulled out from under me. It was only the beginning of the mountain of shocking information, hidden history and scandals of the JW religion that I learned about.
I began my "fade" when I realized I could NO longer even pretend to believe, much less preach about, this religion.
