I'm doing good! Haven't chatted with you in a while. I was saying I don't know what sentiment to express in these situations. I'm glad you are free, but I'm sorry you have turmoil with your wife. I guess it's not anything new, but now it seems more sealed. When did all this happen?

The letters and the DA were all end of September.

Mrs Punk drops witnessy hints in my presence. I've learned to stop grimmacing as this makes her shout at me.

I told her about 2 weeks ago after she said I could have gone to the meeting with her and daughter punk rather than stay home doing washing and ironing: 'I'm not going to a place where I'd be forced to sit at the back like a mangy farm animal and be shunned!'

For a breif second I thought I'd made her think..................I was wrong! She looked at me glazed for a second or so and then was back to her zealous JW self and hasn't stopped being cult-woman since!

Well the best thing now is to offer no resistance. She is feeding off of it. When she has a battle, she grows stronger. No battle, the stakes are lowered, the tension gone, so what's missing one little meeting gonna do? That's how I would deal with it anyway. Nothing made more dubbie than perceived persecution. Normal every day stuff though---not so much. We'll have to chat soon.

I don't know the current rules. Reading posts in this forum, a jc is completely biased against the accused. It is a kangaroo court. Being suspected seems enough evidence. Do the elders have a manual that instructs what sorts of things are more probative than others? I doubt they have any burden of proof to establish. If I were challenged, I would be tempted to play along and play nice, dumb, eager Witness girl to show tolerance for my family's sake. It is very scary that three people with no real life training can hold your future in their hands.

They quote the NWT as though the Bible belongs to them --- and it does. Acknowledging letters, talking with them bolsters their legitimacy not only in their eyes but in the suspect's eyes. It seems an easy call if you know in your gut that they are false. Most people undergo a process, though. Few people experience blinding lights on the road to Damascus. (I used to pray not to have any blindiing light on my road).

Jesus freely forgave. The Holy Spirit did not about some money but that is the exception to the rule. Jesus purposefully sought out the marginal in society. Love one another. Love one another should be the litmus test. You don't need doctrinal certainty, academic studies, theology, Christology. Love one another. I did see love on rare occasions but never from the society en masse.

I'm also thinking of the Prodigal Son, which upset me b/c I was the oldest child. He did not have to attend jcs, have a statistical analysis of his door to door intrusion on people.

Perhaps I mention frequently b/c it astounds me but we are so different on this forum but despite all the differences, the experiences reported certainly sound completely accurate, down to minor details.

I love your responses to the elders on your doorstep. Way to take all that self-importance down to nothing at all. At the very least, you showed them that they obviously have no power over you.

I'm sorry about how things are between you and your wife. I would also think that all her zealousness will die down if she gets no reaction out of you at all. She's really the only weapon the WT has to use against you, and if you don't allow her to be one (by not reacting - though I understand a person can take only so much), then they have nothing.

Hey Punk, can't say I'm surprised, but I am sorry their all going WT TM on you.

Further proof the WT cult is lacking real christian qualities of love and forgiveness. It's absolute insanity that they just won't let people leave! I know LWT already made these points, but it's still just so ridiculous. All the claims of John 13:35 that are completely disproved but these Orwellian, Gestapo tactics.

In regards to the misses, it's weird but true: a lot of family members seem to turn into Über-dubs when one of us awakens to the Conscious Class. That's exactly what my older son did.
