  On the independent newspaper article on line you can post comments. JWs post comments about how this article is a sign of persecution and how shunning is correct etc. They come across as pretty extreme and harsh. It is very easy to point out the flaws in their logic and so much fun to actually have a gloves off debate. There is alot of off topic commenting and sometimes there is a need to reign it in and get back on task but it has been fun.

  Nugget, I kinda know how you feel. I sometimes get comments left on my site by Witnesses or clueless sympathizers. If you don't respond, you feel like you're admitting there isn't a response. Hence, you feel like you're admitting they're right when you really don't think they are.

  It might help to simply point new complaints to responses you've already made. The complaints are often the same, more or less, depending on which group of people is making them. So you've probably refuted many of them already in an earlier post.

  I'm glad this article has been published in Australia, though I know it will have no impact whatsoever on the people I want it too :(

  I've posted a comment, hopefully they will all be published soon... Perhaps a delay because due to no one working on the long weekend..??

  Sadly the Independent blog really slows my laptop down and I can't get on it at all on my work's PC.

  I really wanted to reply to 'David' on this one...........

  What I want to say is that the Apostles may have asked about the immediacy of the kingdom but they didn't print it in publications and force people to accept it under pain of shunning!!

  What scriptures in context, are you using that actually proves this?

  I was referring to Jesus' sermon to his disciples beginning at Luke 19:11:

  I will judge you, wicked slave! You knew that I am a severe man,
  withdrawing what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow. 23 And why did you not give my money to the bank, and I, when I[h] returned, would have collected it with interest?’ 24 And to the bystanders he said, ‘Take away from him the mina and give it[i] to the one who has the ten minas!’ 25 And they said to him, ‘Sir, he has ten minas.’ 26 ‘I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given. But from the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 27 But these enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them—bring them[j] here and slaughter them in my presence!’”
