    Dear fellow cinephiles:

Wishing you all a good morning!

It was a big step for me to see a movie on the "forbidden list" and not go to an out-of-town theatre to do so. I saw The Half-Blood Prince in another city where I was working a couple years ago.

The giant bag of buttered popcorn and refill for six bucks was icing on the cake. There were no Witnesses there at the cineplex for the "acceptable" films.

    Had to share ...

    How about your film experiences???

I remember queuing up to watch the "Life of Brian" with a small group of JW's (we were all in our teens), and spotted an elder doing the exact same thing.

I remember as a teenager a big group of us went to see Ghostbusters. What a bunch of rebels.

My kids, friend, her elder hub, and I went to see Of Mice and Men rated R.

I was kind of surprised that he'd take such a chance and also that he'd watch a rated R movie.

    CoCo hi,

Not a movie goer the last few years, after working all day just too tired!

Went to live theater some time back, to see a wonderful show, Jack Lemon starred (can't remember the name) but the jw's I was with walked out 'cause it was a bit raunchy!!! Can you believe it!

Yes, Clarity, I can believe it. Thanks!

When I was 13 the pioneer couple who studied with me took me to a Juliet Prowse movie. They walked out on her sexy dancing and left me there!

Thanks, too, to cantleave, White Dove and Mad Sweeney, for sharing your celluloid experiences!

I went to see One Flew Over the Cuckoos nest with my mother and aunt and her son, my cousin. He and I were about 16. She insisted we walk out halfway in, because of the "pornographic" language

The funny? part is that after we dropped them off at home, her son was sticking his head in the car window as we were trying to back out, repeating all the most questionable lines.

LOL one of mine was Twilight. I read all the books and saw all the movies. THEN I wrote a Twilight fanfiction and posted it. THEN I had an attack of conscience and removed it. THEN I got a lot of protest messages from those that didn't finish reading it. THEN I posted it again. It is still very popular!
