Well, if they Google anything about my sit, it will not come up, if its not spelt correctly etc. and The overall doctrine is what I mean. I believe God and Jesus are not one etc.

I guess the reason I am here is twofold, that if for the time I decide to remain a JW, I wish to know the facts about the "Truth" as it were. And, if I decide to leave, to know that I will have people that will help me to keep going in life etc, as I do suffer from severe clin. depression...

I'm a non-jw with friends and family "in". Also did "Bible" studies for many months but failed to progress.

What I learned was that even at that early stage, there is no room for disagreement, compromise or individuality. I had to agree with a cleaner that evolution was a satanic trick to help people deny God, or else I was an "opposer".

Don't get me wrong, the cleaner was a good and sincere person. I would have liked us to be friends. But jws must be wary of someone who is "bad association".

If you want to stay in, you'll have to totally conform and take the place you're given. Since you are clearly a bright and creative person, that will be very hard.

Read and research, and I hope you find what you are looking for.

The more you think,, the more you read and learn the truth about The Truth TM , your beliefs in their doctrines will change.

There's an old expression ,,, Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought him back.

Curiosity:

Your 'need to know the real truth' is contributing to your depression,,, well, you feel trapped, confused, you're experiencing 'cognitive dissonance' (google that and I think you'll really be amazed at how that could be contributing to your depression!).

Satisfaction:

Once you've soaked up the real knowledge you need to make a decision, you will get a fresh outlook on what true freedom is, and you will find your true self emerging,,,, ah ... satisfaction.

I mean not to brag but I am rather smart, kinda gifted, well actually, my teachers etc all said I could be almost anyhting I wanted to be....

If this is accurate . . . and I have no reason to doubt that it is, then your days with this religion are numbered. I'm slowly becoming an old man . . . many years a JW . . . take it from me, please.

Often it begins with feelings and concerns such as you have expressed. The time has come for you to take a step back and re-evaluate . . . everything. Take your time with it and keep your own counsel.

You admit frankly, that this life is all you know . . . so this is an area where you are lacking and therefore need to do some investigating and some serious thinking. It's not easy to come out from behind JW colored lenses.

But you have one life . . . and if you so choose, it can be one of freedom, joy and no end of accomplishment.

So take a step back in your mind . . . take your time with the re-evaluation . . . then decide . . . and act.

You have a place here now that will give you no end of support in achieving your real potential.

Breathe... take things one step at a time. Begin planning your life. Look at your current status and then your next steps. Focus on what goals you wish to accomplish. I highly recommend that you go to University/College. Start preparing to move away to do this. Do not stay. Read Stephen Covey's "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People".

Regarding issues with anyone who wants to harrass you or not accept your boundaries, my advice is to play the authorities card. Threaten them with going to the police or a lawyer. This works for me everytime someone steps over my established boundaries. Only you can stand up for yourself. If you don't, people will walk all over you.

Armageddon is NOT coming soon. The WTS and JWs were NOT chosen by Christ. The blood policy is bogus and your life is yours to live as you wish; not as a Publishing Corporation wishes.
