So which makes more sense? Sex or no sex in the "new system"?

Obviously Jah wouldn't allow for millions of pregnancies in the new system for fear of the same problem today of overpopulation. So would He throw in sex but not allow for the women to become pregnant? OR would there be just no sex at all? The first option seems to be more likely, though that could surprisingly have downsides. The second could be considered cruel on God's part. No need to explain that.

Jesus said that those in the system to come would not be given in marriage but would be as angels in heaven. And since some of those angels came down and banged quite a few of the ladies here, I can assume that there will still be sex.

There is a green book, called, I think, 'Survival into a Paradise Earth,' which the discusses the population logistics of living forever. It was released in either the late 70's or early 80's.

What's the point of speculating? Besides, real study of the Bible raises SERIOUS doubts about the interpretation held by the WBTS.

Sex is an expression of love, not just about procreation.

It's one of the things that makes us unique.

God gave us this ability to express Love, why would he take it away?

It wil be different, yes, far more intense and spiritual.

Marriage is an accomodation for Us as Humans living in the world we live in now, it won't be necessary in our final state.

Well, since there will never be a "new system" ala Botchtower definition, then sex is here to stay. Woohoo!

Apart from the sex issue, just imagine hundreds of your ancestors all alive at the same time and the same age as yourself

Going back to the sex issue, what would happen when Jehovah decides the earth is full and tells everyone, sorry no more sex - or maybe OK you can have sex but you will never see another baby, or hear the happy sound of children playing, which would make sex pointless anyway. Also if you have been having sex for hundreds of years with the same person it would probably get a bit monotonous.

Another thing, won't it be a bit boring spending eternity sitting in fields wearing 1950s clothes looking at baskets of fruit and having to comfort all the lonely lions and tigers who have no more little children to pet them all day long?

In the bible there are accounts where God controlled who got pregnant and didn't. Rachel, for one. David's first wife, Michael, for two. Sarah did not get pregnant until God allowed it. So it is possible for sex (for the great crowd survivors of Armageddon) to continue to have sex without getting pregnant.

Notice the bible said that angels had to come to earth and take human form to have sex...no sex in heaven. I always felt that the WTS was missing the point that those of his followers that were going to heaven, taking on spirit form, would not have sex.

The WTS often speaks out of both sides of their mouth. Here regarding Matthew 22:29,30 they "reason"

*** w87 6/1 p. 31 Questions From Readers ***Some have felt that Jesus was here referring to the heavenly resurrection, yet there are reasons to believe that his reply was about the earthly resurrection in the coming “system of things.” What reasons underlie this view? Those questioning Jesus did not believe in him or know about a heavenly resurrection. They asked about a Jewish family under the Law. In reply Jesus referred to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, men who hoped for life again on earth. (Genesis 42:38; Job 14:13-15; compare Hebrews 11:19.) Those patriarchs, and millions of others, who are raised on earth and who prove faithful will be “like the angels.” Though mortal, they will not die once God has declared them righteous for endless life.

    ------------------

Yet this was the same Jesus that told the same people they had to drink of his blood and eat of his flesh...something not true on the surface in the Law.

Neither marry -- The propagation of the human race is intended to proceed only until the earth shall be filled. SM37:3; Q852:T Adam combined masculine and feminine qualities. True, the glorified Church will not marry, but there is no reference here to the Church class. R3461:3

For man will no longer be alone, as he was at first, to need a companion. R3461:6

Are as the angels -- Sexless, restored to the condition represented in Adam before Eve was separated from him. T100, 101

Sex conditions will gradually pass away. During the first 1000 years after the fall, births were less frequent than now; during the Millennium, sex functions will gradually diminish, reaching a full stop toward the close of that age. R3461:6; NS297:4

We believe a similar communication will be established between perfect men and the heavenly courts that was in vogue before the first disobedience and the penalty came in. R3462:5

In their proper habitation, angels do not possess powers of reproduction. As they materialized as human beings, they exercised the powers of mankind, thus bringing children into the world of the fleshly nature. Q744:3

As the angels do not die, neither will the perfected human beings die. R3461:6

Forgive me for being thick but I just can't get my head round this. Does this mean that women are to be phased out and slowly turned into sexless men over a period of time?

Adam was created male, made in God's image and referred to as a 'he', and this was before Eve was created. How could he be male and sexless? What did he have instead of male genetalia before Eve was created?

Every mammal on earth, regardless of size shape or species have either male or female genetalia.

If all MANkind is eventually to become the same with no distinction between man and woman, are we to presume that it is actually the female of the species who will cease to exist?
