I found The celestine Prophesy excellent reading. Helps one to understand that everything is energy. All around us

I'd suggest another Orwell classic, Animal Farm. It is an excellent depiction of sincere believers being abused by corrupt, self-serving leaders who constantly re-write the rules and revise history: "All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others." Being allegorical, it's less likely to trigger the Watchtower-conditioned defense mechanisms than books that are overtly about religious cults and their leaders.

Jehovah's Witnesses - The Bible Report
Some Jehovah's Witnesses have read this book simply because it claims that Jehovah's Witnesses are indeed fulfilling bible prophecy.
Upon reading it many have left.

I think some Jehovah's Witnesses watch it simply because they think of "Christendom" as anyone else except themselves:

Another good book that is non-religious but discusses the same sorts of coersion the Borg uses is: Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion by Robert Cialdini.
