This article is disturbing on so many levels. I mean its one thing to outright lie and fabricate an experience such as this. It's another thing entirely to insinuate that your readers should do something as irresponsible as quitting their job in order to attend the annual publication release convention. Especially in this economic enviroment, it irresponsible and dispicable.

"As she walked home, Roxana saw a "Help Wanted" sign for experienced operators of industrial sewing machines, and she applied for a job. The manager realized that she had no experience but offered her a job anyway, at almost double the wages she had been earing. Roxana felt that her prayers had been answered. The greatest blessing, however, was that she was able to share the good news with several of her fellow workers. Five of them, including the manager, accepted the truth and were baptized."

    It's a MIRACLE!!!!

Output at that factory will presumably plummet several times a year as workers tell their boss they need ANOTHER weekend off to go to an idoctrination session and reduced hours so they can go pioneering. The boss won't mind; he'll be confident Jehovah will cover all costs.

If it's true it's probably a composite experience that happened over several years, decades ago.

    Hiring unqualified machinists?

Ya.....in a couple of years we'll hear of the experience of the boss at the factory that will go something like this:

Eduardo* ran a successful factory in Orlando, Florida* that sold robotic parts to a nearby world-famous theme park. One day, after firing his manager for playing with a Ouija Board* during working hours, Eduardo reflected on the state of the world and prayed to God to help him find the one true religion by revealing it through the next person he saw. A few minutes later a young woman by the name of Roxanna* walked up to him and asked for the job. Even though she was not qualified for it, Eduardo thought 'surely this is God answering my prayers' so he hired her on at double the salary he had paid his previous manager, just to show God how much he appreciated it. She then began preaching to all the staff and everyone, including Eduardo and 27* members of his family are now loyal servants of Jehovah God.

Problems arose though when Eduardo needed to shut down the factory so that he and all the staff could now attend the annual convention. The world-famous theme park had just placed a gi-normous order for robotic parts and they needed them by Monday morning. Eduardo explained to them why he couldn't do the order and was able to sneak in a five second witness in the process. However, the executive at the world famous theme park was angry and told Eduardo that unless the order was placed, they would never place any more orders with them. What was Eduardo to do? His very livelihood depended on the theme park. On the other hand, he knew how vital it was not to miss one second of the spiritual food that would be dispensed at the convention. He prayed about it and told the executive he was very sorry, but that his love for Jehovah God and his Organization must come first. He and all the staff went to the assembly, unsure if they'd even have jobs when they returned.

On their return, it seems that the executive at the world famous theme park had a change of heart. He was vastly impressed with a man who would risk his entire business to attend a 3 day assembly of Jehovah's Witnesses and he wanted to know more about it. Not only that, but the original order was now double of what it had been the previous week! Eduardo was able to give this man a fine witness and as a result, every employee at the world famous theme park and their family are now all dedicated baptized servants of Jehovah!

Surely this is another fine indication that Jehovah blesses those who put spiritual matters first!

*invented to make our bullshit story more believable.

Mary, that is truly a story worthy of DisneyWorld thinking...

"Magical" Kingdom... [Watchtower Bible and Tract Society]

"When you wish, upon a star...... Doesn't matter who you are..."

The similarities between fairy tales and religious "miracles", "angelic intervention", and "magically" getting a better job after quitting "for Jehovah", have always amused and amazed me...
