That's debatable. I haven't seen that many hot elders.

No no no, you get porn stars for the roles.

Use their own 'theocratic warfare' tactics on them. I.e. Shun THEM, disfellowship THEM. Don't talk to those company men at all. If they corner you and you answer the phone on accident, open the door on accident, run into them in public and they can't be avoided, then remember these three things: Distract, Divide and Divert. Do not commit to anything, if they want to meet with you ask them in what regards, then tell them you will get back to them when YOU are available.

Don't play by their rules and learn to use theirs against them.

when the cons out wiegh the pros

duck and dodge, your ex is probably trying to hurt you out of revenge of some sort

not because he's concerned about your spirituality.

duck and dodge don't give your ex or the elders the power

make up every excuse in the world not to talk to them.

some may critisize that by avoiding them, is not being free but

the bottom line is what you are trying to achieve and that is

to retain communication with your loved ones.

We just avoid & ignore them and they seem to have stopped for now. In fact when they are door to door in our neighborhood the elders don't even bother coming to the door anymore they usually send the new ones or those we don't know We just don't open the door. The dogs are barking the kids have the TV and music going..we just don't care anymore.

    Took back our power!

Screen all your calls, and put a spy glass in your door so you can see who's there. (I made the mistake of answering the door once when I knew somebody was coming round in 5 minutes) I get these idiots about 4 times a year, and they KNOW I'm in, but just don't answer or make a sound, even though my car's outside. Look at it this way, while they're trying to get at you, somebody else is getting a reprieve. I say let them waste their time and effort. I do my bit as a public service for my community.

You might feel like they've got you by the balls, but by yanking their chain and having them on, you're actually helping people. Plus, it's kinda satisfying to know they're getting frustrated!

Ignore them and if they come to your home or catch you off guard and you answer the call be very vague. that's what I did, I received a call from an elder last spring. He asked what could he do to get us back to the meeting. I ddnt answer his question at all I told him we were doing very well and appreciated his concern for us. And that's it!!! Do not allow yourself to be put in a position where they have any power over you.

How many times do they try and call you before they start stopping by?

My experience: I had several phone calls over, uh, maybe 3-4 months before they knocked at my door the first time. But I doubt that's any gauge of the norm. Our house is only minutes from the KH. Plus my elder dad instigated the investigation and it sounded like he rode the elders hard until they made contact, based on something my mom said.

But we have a few family members who did fade successfully. They weren't in my dad's cong.

A no trespassing sign can go for anyone not just the JW's

so even with that I don't see where they can accuse you

of anything. that should stop them from comin' to your door
