I just find it a bit disconcerting that in the last 20 years, the number of vaccinations being recommended has ..........tripled?

This is what I said it depends on which vaccines in response to. And it does. Tetanus? Diphtheria? Whooping cough? Chicken Pox? Hepatitis? HPV?
I'll not continue. The last time this subject came up I cried hard all day. Not worth it.
My daughter did a college report on this issue and found no credible sources that supported a link.

The name of the publication The Golden Age was changed to Consolation in 1937. Finally, it becameAwake! in 1946 -- the name that continues to the present day. In 1939, the following passage appeared:

Take Alex Jones and any other conspiracy out of the picture. Take what the medical experts say out of the picture. Now what you have is the real world to look at.
Read about the human body and how it functions. Read about the myelin sheath coating the nerve fibers of the brain. What causes it to cease forming? What causes it to grow too thick? How does the body respond to foreign substances injected vs. inhaled or injested? Why do some get infectious diseases while others in the same room don't? What is/are the variables?
You can also do the same as with the WTS - follow the money trail. What do vaccine manufacturers have to gain? To lose? What do anti-vaccine promotors have to gain? To lose? What do the vaccine manufacturers have to gain by refuting the mercury/autism link? What do they have to lose? What do doctors have to gain? To lose?
Now look around you. Do you know people who have children with autism? Have you questioned them? Asked them their experience? Asked them how their children were prior to vaccination? After vaccination? Parents KNOW their children better than anyone else. They know when something is not right. Real world examples are the best source to get information from. Studies can be skewed for or against anything.
This is a very personal decision for all involved. It is also a very intense and controversial topic. This comment is not intended to sway people one way or another. Just some helpful suggestions for research. ASK QUESTIONS and observe and listen to other parents around you whose interest is their child's health. Their story can be a whole lot different than any study will ever show. One side of the story never tells the whole scenario.

I do LW. I grew up in the sixties and seventies with fewer vaccines and I never saw a case of autism in school or at the witness assemblies, or in my neighborhood or anywhere. Now I go into a movie and their was a front row of autistic kids. It has almost become common.

I have children with Autism, they are high functioning, but what I find interesting is the increasing number of children being diagnosed. Perhaps it is caused by environmental factors, a gene, a vaccine, poor diet...who knows! It could be many things or maybe just 'something that happens'.Science doesn't have the answer yet.
Perhaps more are diagnosed because people are better aware and don't resort to mental institutions anymore, realising that just because one is Autistic and 'different', doesn't make them weird or any less a part of society. All we can do is work with the condition/disorder and make sure we treat the person respectfully and engage therapies that work best for them. No two Autistic people are the same, it's a very individual thing.
It is not just the thermosil, it is all the other crap (yeast) that creates autisim from vaccines.
AND most certainly we cannot forget genetic factors in our DNA.
AT the end of the day it is a puzzle, we all have our own puzzle.
We can't blame or defend FDA they are just people with their own problems, and Oh MY Goodness even scientists have problems.
At the end of the day you can't ignore that 1 in 110 children develop autism.

I have a friend that works for doctors without borders, he was a medic in the same regiment I served, a far better person than I am.
He's seen up close the word without vaccines.
Nothing is so black and white that it exculdes the posibility of dangers and corruption and special interests, that is a given.
Just realise this, be greatful that you live in a country where you ( and your children) have the OPTION and the LUXURY to debate it.
