Live music in the Kingdom Halls

    I was visiting the Onion Creek congregation in South Austin a few years ago and they still had and used an upright piano......

    While the congo is too conservative for my taste (I liked the now moved south austin congo better) singing to the live accompaniment just made me feel deeply satisfied.

    It was a baby grand piano. They sold it a while back. That was the prettiest part of that blue and pink painted building.

    @ leavingwt---This would be great, if I were in Brother Prince Nelson's Kingdom Hall.

    My mother played at the KH too. She was pretty good and I did like the live music better. I remember a nice brother--Milovich/Malcovich I think?? Who would go around tuning all the pianos in the halls in South Carolina and at the conventions. I think they probably stopped because no one was taking the time anymore to give their children music lessons. 4 and 5 year olds like me and my sis were out in service all the time.
