As far as my experience goes, most males once married go back to "little boy" mode.
And how many men have you been married to that constitutes your vast experience? What an incredibly sexist and ignorant post.

Misery, you have a PM, I typed it all out, and it sounded so plain and yet so personal.

I'm sorry ladies but some of the stuff I see you saying about your husbands I can see in my wife and I am willing to bet money that your husbands also see the same stuff in you. That's just the way it is in my humble opinion.
I find it funny to hear my wife make complaints about me sometimes and have her utter the same things I was thinking about her. I mean, get out of my head, honey.

I fully acknowledge that patience goes both ways in my marriage but the question wasn't directed towards my husband.

A woman marries a man hoping he will change. He won't.
A man marries a woman hoping she will never change. She will.
Here's to the changes in life!

Me too! Doesn't the humor help? We are at the point when the other does something stupid, or short tempered or something, we just give the other a look, like "you're not serious" and then we laugh.

OK, I think we have all missed the real point here. I just realized it myself. It was small, yet there.
Wheres the butter? (while looking at it in the fridge)
Why the hell is HE looking for butter? Get in the kitchen where you belong and make him a damn sammich!

Yep, when we get kinda heated I like to make a funny face or say something silly to cool us both off. Most times it works.
