  Nowhere in the Bible does it say that Jesus Christ sacrificed his life for polar bears. He died to redeem the human race! When it was finished, the forces of evil were defeated once and for all. Satan may prowl around like a roaring lion, as Peter put it, but his teeth were knocked out when Jesus died. The death Jesus died was crucifixion. Satan and his evil forces were defeated the moment He breathed his last breath. Halleluiah! But they still have fight left in them. And they're objective is to see human souls separated from God.

Consider this: Those that don't tow the PC line and dare voice their disagreement, especially if they happen to be followers of Jesus Christ, are smeared and demeaned. They're branded right-wing evangelical bigots. In many instances dissenters who appear on public platforms are shouted down. Some conservatives have had pies and garbage thrown at them.

  How can you presume the Devil is on the left in a political sense? You do come up with some complete BS. The Jesus as described in the that book of myths the bible was certainly no evangelical bigot.

  Well, I tow the PC line, but mainly because the apps I need aren't available on Mac.

  Oh, and what you just wrote was BS. The nutty evangelicals who insist the country has to live according to their values are the ones we like to make fun of. You clearly have no concept of history. Jesus in government is bad no matter which side they are on.

  Um, there are plenty of Democratic Socialists who believe in God and probably the devil too...quite a few of them are Lutherans or Catholics. Debate fail.

  The reason for disinterest in religion and the Bible is easy to explain, it's not a conspiracy.

  I read a very good editorial in the Houston Chronical on it by a well known Unitarian minister not long ago.

  It's because religion has failed in many ways to serve the ethical and practical needs of a modern society, and the obvious divisions it creates in society are no longer as tolerated as they once were.

  I'm a Universalist Unitarian, and I believe that's the direction that religion is going anyway...if it doesn't serve the needs of society anymore, society will ignore religion. Religion, if it exists in an organized state, needs to be a place were people are encouraged to explore their spirituality, to not feel judged as they do so, and to learn about the common humanist principles that nearly all religions and cultures embrace, such as the encouragement of compassion and atruism.

  I'm not afraid of the world or religions being influenced by the Devil, because even if he exists, it's as it should be, as all things have a purpose and reason for existence or they wouldn't exist, the universe isn't that wasteful. That idea is common to science and philosophy and many religions too.

  I think personally, that the devil is an overly convenient scapegoat for things people, governments, organizations and religions themselves should take responsibility for, though. It's not a coincidence that one of tne of the names for the Devil, "Azazel" is "the scapegoat" in Hebrew, actually.

  If you're looking for a conspiracy theory to explain everything you're afraid of or dislike in the world around you, one will conveniently arrive to satisfy your paranoia. Funny how that works.

  I dont think you are going to find many Christians on this board.

  First of all Jehovahs witnesses is not a Christian religion.

  And any Jw's that left the hall and stumbled into Christianity few are hanging out here.

  It seems like most JW's when they escape the hall become atheist or agnostic.

  The kingdumb hall is a breeding ground for atheism and agnostisim.

  The publishing company told us what was wrong with all the other religions and

  beliefs, that doesnt leave anything left buth Dawkinsim.

  You would probably have as much luck finding Budhist and Hindus on this site

  as you would Christians. I dont think your going to find Budhinst Hindus or Christians here.

  They do have Christian support groups, google it.

  Christians believe Jesus is God. Christians believe in the trinity.

  Christians believe in the bible.

  I'm a UU, which is considered Christian Lite or barely Christian or not Christian at all by Evangelicals because it's basically secular humanism with a nod to spirituality of all sorts thrown in.

  I consider astrology and dancing naked to the Green Lord to be a legitimate as Catholocism or the Baptists, is what that means. People getting all wacked out with the universe is fine with me...I'm not against the supernatural, wherever you want to find it.

  I can't quite shut the door on the supernatural..I keep thinking people must have this need for believing in it for a reason, and it seems to fulfill some psychological needs for some people in a legitimate way.

  Is it any wonder with their skewed thinking and ridiculous assertions? They paint a big fat bullseye on themselves and then wonder why people target them. I guess it gives them reason to think they are persecuted.
