From where we are in Phoenix, it was barely detectable. A neighbor said he felt his bed move. I was sitting in a chair and felt like I was back on the cruise ship in wavy water. The epicenter was in Baja California about 15 minutes ago.

    Earthquake in AZ?

Friday April 2, 2010 Yes, there was an earthquake in Arizona yesterday. Arizona earthquake
Courtesy U.S. Geological Survey It wasn't very big (magnitude 2.6) and it wasn't very close to Phoenix. Actually, the epicenter was near the border of Utah near Colorado City, which is almost as far away from Phoenix as you can get without leaving Arizona! http://neic.usgs.gov/neis/last_event_states/states_arizona.html

I didn't feel the one yesterday nor did I know there was one then. It looks like the one from today was closer than yesterday's quake.

CNN has the story on it. I can't seem to copy and paste anything on here.
