The rain situation should only be a problem at Cypress Mountain where there are only 2 events happening there.

There were a lot of us long time Vancouverites who questioned that decision to use that mountain since

it's been known to have poor winter conditions for skiing, unusually once every 10 years or so.

The show was awesome. KD Lang = perfection as always.

The visual effects during the show just amazing.

I wasn't going to record it but am very glad I did although there were a couple of things I could have done without like th eOlympic song

I was watching CTV coverage like most people. The annoucer talked about Gretshy's torch being on so long. Clearly he didn't see 2 yes TWO switches.

The first was as he was coming out of the stadium just as he started up the stairs - a stealthy switch was made

The second was while he was on the truck and one of the passengers passed a torch up to him through a window behind the driver and to the ledt hand side of Gretsky

Gotta keep your eyes open if you are an announcer

I was very glad they had more than one person light the indoor torch. Although I think it was Lemay-Dons that didn't get her side up but she did carry it and didn't she start the torch run?
