Assuming the governments would pass a law requiring everyone to have a microchip I.D. implant with GPS tracking capabilities, storing your personal and financial data but also record all your movements.

Would you be for or against it?

Personally I don't have a problem with it but I'm just wondering , what would be the drawbacks for the normal, law abiding citizen?

    Just curious

I belong to me and to no one else. Just because I live in a country doesn't mean I'm their goods, chattel, property, etc. I will not be microchipped, stamped, or barcoded like an item on a shelf in Walmart. I'm no criminal and refuse to be treated like one.

But what if it became law, how far would you go in your stand?

What possible, acceptable, reason could there be for such a law?

If they intend to force it on me they'd better make sure my hands, feet, and teeth are restrained.

Is that the question, or are you asking if we'd accept it? I would accept it reluctantly if I knew that fighting it was futile. I would in no way be in favor of it.

    Mark,

I personally want the Government to have as little to do with my personal whereabouts, identification, and surveillance.

But what if it became law, how far would you go in your stand?

As far as I could without causing too much trouble for myself, I would way the facts look at the pros and cons and proceed from there. As I'm not a revolutionary or follower of any type of ideology I would make my decision based on purely pragmatic reasons.

Maybe one of the reasons would be of security. To track criminals and possible troublemakers. What if they would confiscate all your assets if you did not comply. In other words, no monetary units for food, etc. Set up to starve without it. Anyone who is caught helping you is also a criminal.

I for one would gladly be chipped; for it would herald the dawn of Obama's Fascist, Communist, Socialist utopia. I hope the serial number on the chip has 666 on it, or maybe you'll get 666 Obamabucks to start with.

Keyser. I'm not sure what my question is..lol. But I think I would like to know, is if you did accept it what would still be some negative aspects of living with it? If you don't plan on committing any crime, what's the problem whith having one?
