Diana, creature extraordinaire of the distended jaw, was fully capable of downing rodents whole, but could not muster a motherly kiss for the starchild, Elizabeth.

"Pretenama, pretenama." echoed ever so softly but with conscious deliberateness the halfbreed wunderkind, come to become the unpretentious savior of the universe.

"NO! NO!" screamed the bossy Diana, intent on swallowing down sweeping galaxies whole, such was her voracious, unchecked appetite. Included in the real deal was the Gemstone Earth.

Elizabeth, unconscious of the intergalactic authority held in Diana's clutch, proceeded, in her own guileless fashion, to disarm the Mother ship's doomsday device and, as a result, knock Diana on her bony, alien arse, metaphorically speaking.

I loved that miniseries... LoL... When I saw it on tape that is. A bit before my time. Looking forward to the remake.

"The Starchild". Wow. I remember that now.

    And, of course, Marc Singer:

I loved the mini-series and have them all on DVD.

I am leery about the new one, got a bad feeling it'll be a flop.

The original series in the 80's was awesome. As a kid I used to watch after the group study with all my mates!!

I hope this hits the UK soon.
