A sister I don't speak with very often called me. She is in the same congregation as some of my family. She knows they don't talk to me hardly anymore.

To each his own, but I don't see this getting anywhere. Unless you become tight friends, it's just chipping away at some bricks in the Tower defenses. If it got weak enough to be concerned about, she would go to her elders who will tell her how to strengthen herself back up- namely by not talking to BF anymore.

Not that I wouldn't help free the minds of anyone who reached out to me, but I just wouldn't be too anxious to help anyone that will talk to my family if my family were the type that "don't talk to me hardly anymore." The family would be priority to receive my help.

All just my opinions, nothing against what you did.

Hi Bonafide, from personal experience .......I think you are wasting your time and energy. Don't forget most jw are brain dead when it comes to thinking things out in a logical way.

The last year or so, I've been escorted to the back several times because I made some comments that didn't have the faithful slave sound. Recently was told by elder to keep conversations on the weather.

You defeated her, "the Bible says" argument so she fell back to "the Society says" argument. Once they've done that, you're just gonna go around in circles until one of you gets dizzy and falls down.

good thread, keep it coming, the sad part is that most jdubs think that the FDS actually speaks Jehovah's (or whomever it is) words to us, that is tragic in and of itself. As far as tattoos, can't believe that was the highlight of the talk. Tattoos, we are used to show affiliation with ones tribal heritage, egyptian women used them for fertility etc. They were of various gods etal.
