There is another book I would recommend if its author would get around to writing and publishing it -- Farkel's often-mentioned-but-never-written book.

The True Believer, Eric Hoffer.
I would also recommend these books after someone is ready to move on from religion into spirituality:
1. Eckhart Tolle's A New Earth
I highly recommend Tolle. His first book, The Power of Now, was life changing for me. Those who remember JamesThomas will know of his fondness for Tolle as well. If you like Tolle I have further recommendations that are in a similar vein.
I found the God Delusion by Richard Dawkins to be very enlightening.
Crisis of Conscience was of course, fantastic.
The Oracle
I forgot this gem:
On the Origin of Feces, Samuel Turd.
Published by the BotchTower Libel and Crap Society.
Yes, I agree with you. I appreciated the honesty as well.
Quite refreshing when you compare it to what I'd been reading for the last 30 years published by the WTS.
