July 4th is about a month away so maybe I'm jumping the gun, but I love going downtown, cramming into the narrow streets with too many others, to see the City's "official" Fourth of July fireworks display and listening to one of the city's FM stations that (supposedly) has music synchronized with the bursts of color. Having lawn chairs and cold drinks... making the most of the free entertainment.
Hell... I might as well say... I love summertime, period.
Grilling burgers on the patio, sweating from the heat, swatting mosquitos and scratching their calling cards. Seeing kids out of school, and remembering what "summer vacation" was REALLY like.
Summertime is quite a gift, once you think about it, and MAN!... this is one cool thread.
Life is good. Ain't it?!!
