    Not at all.

In fact the only reason why i haven't been disfellowshipped/dissasociated is because how this would affect my family members, otherwise i would been well and truly clean and clear of this horrible cult.

The one person it would affect is my 15y old daughter who i am close to and is Jw along with her mum.

If it affects my relationship with her i will be upset, but i will not be coerced into going back

No, my husband and I are inactive, and we were the only ones in my family stupid enough to join the JWs. Well, actually, I have an older cousin that I hardly ever see anyway, so if she wants to shun, it is not a big deal.

i have to say.... i wouldnt be affected enough for it to matter...

my immediate family were the only ones "in"
and i was the last one "out" so if there is any
veracity to the rumour about "self-DA" for not
going to meetings or bothering people at home...
i am gonna make like doom voyager and bug
the ever-loving crap outta every drone i see...
each and every one of them gonna be my new best friend!!!!!

My wife's family are rabid JWs and very judgemental.

My sister and dad are not the type to shun family. My mom is, but she and I rarely talk anyway, so who cares?

No, I very much doubt it would affect me. I don't see any of my jw relatives as it is, and the only other JW's that I care about are my mom and sister, and they already know my stand on things, and they didn't shun my brother when he was DF'd, so i think i'd be ok. I've already been through the "disown" part when my mom first found out, but we've come to an agreement on things and for the most part, it seems to be working out fine.

I'm lucky that i have alot of non jw relatives.
