    Reniaa,

It's also obvious that you are having a hard time fence sitting - you want to believe and you don't want to believe. You defend the Watchtower and make reference to the early Christians being closer to the teachings of Jesus, yet there is such a huge quantum leap between the two.

Jehovah's Witnesses are nothing like the first century Christians.

10 years ago while I was still in I needed a knee replacement. I had a doctor that I was new too but I didn't have the general them against us mentality of so many of the witnesses and accepted all my orthopedic suggestions to build up my blood and he was contact with a blood specialist who was very familiar with JW issues. I signed all the forms and my surgery went off without a hitch but I knew there was a potential danger to my refusing blood and honestly didn't see why blood was forbidden from a logic and faith based standpoint. But I was willing to die to stand up for it because it was pounded into our heads.

Some of the witnesses have such a hostile attitude to the medical community thinking their all our to get witnesses and that the devil is trying to break their integrity to God. Creating that kind of fear in people is shameful of the WTS, making followers terrified of their medical community. That sister certainly was exhibiting typical behavior concerning her doctor. If I'd been her doctor I would have refused to bother with her. Her disrespectful trust of him does not make for a sound doctor/patient relationship and leaves him open to be sued because of her overall terror if any little thing when against her perception.

Don't you see? She was looking forward to a "test". It's no fun if everything is fine, if the surgeon is fine, if everyone is fine with her wishes. Where's her martyrdom, darnit?

    dead on assesment.

My wife once talked with a JW mom who has kids in school. This mom told my wife about how pleasant her child's teacher was when they told her they were Jehovah's Witnesses and that their son couldn't do things like birthdays and the pledge. This JW actually started to say that because her son was treated as a 'normal' child by this teacher was persecution from Satan. Thus in her mind a lack of persecution from the world around us is persecution from Satan because then your faith isn't being tested!

She said she was happy to be faithful to Jehovah and even if she dies thats ok. And that so many doctors can test your faith because they dont care about God's laws.

Ahh, ditto, what a way of reasoning, I've seen this before first hand, I better not even comment.... So I guess if they rolled her out of hospital in a wheelchair and left her to die there that would be quite alright by her. I wonder why she even came to hospital could have just gracefully died at home without all the bullshit. Beauty of witness thinking, The sad part of it is that they are toying with their lives by throwing stupid comments like that, living in their heads somehow believing their case will be special and “heavenly armies” will come to their rescue.
