Yeah a medal for stupidity. I can see it now....the winning Olympian male athelete comes home thinking, 'I can win the gold, but I can't get a date, I wonder why.'

There was a body builder who lived in my complex back in the early 80's. Big Guy. Mr. Canada, #2 Mr America. One day he moved out. His wife and I were talking. She said never take the steroids. You will end up with a dick like a 9 yr old. You will never satisfy your girl. I was like TMI!!

I saw an article where some academic had created a formula to predict how many medals each country would win. It was based on many different factors including being the host nation, the national GDP, population size and so on.
Some sports, such as cycling, have just become more organised in the UK which has turned an odd, personal gold from shear single determination into more of a structured discipline making the UK top of that particular discipline.
For other things we're still way behind.
Canada has been disappointing so far although I think the Winter Olympics are more our thing

That is an awesome concept... They have more metals but if we took away some of their metals they wouldn't... lol!
Thats like the announcer at the phelps race the day before yesterday he said (I swear to god) "well phelps wouldn't have won if the other racers had swam faster..."

I for one am shocked at this flouting of tradtional British values.
The UK being an Olympic disappointment is part of my childhood.
I don't think I can cope with the success; I can now taunt Austalian's and Cloggies at the UK taking away traditonal Cloggies and Ozzie medals.
Ah, the joys of a English speaking office in the Netherlands.
