My wife is intelligent and thinks for herself.

But then if I argue about the WTS, she defends with their
usual BS. "Jehovah will straighten out that. They are imperfect
men. They are the only ones with the truth." YADDA YADDA.

Even when she disagrees with the society, she says it is a
conscience matter or a personal decision and the WTS doesn't
    insist on things their way.

Ya but there gonna make you feel as guilty as possible. we know there rutine all they want out of you is to be a full time zombie!

Tell her to ask any brother or sister what they feel about going to college or there kids going to college. Everyone will say its wrong and a bad influence and everything negative like the WitchTower taught them. Ive done it myself i asked all kinds of people and it was negative evertime.

    Brainwashed by the Borg!

    Thx jgnat

I agree it's hard to deal with both personalities because i think she has been messed up by being raised in the truth. Her parents are not a loving couple as a matter a fact her father has been disfellowshipped for about 2 years or more for infidelity. her mother holds the strings now for him being reinstated and she is not letting go. I don't even get why here parents even stay together now. Thank God they live in Ecuador and i don't have to deal with it.

But thank you for the advice and i will look into that website you suggested. . thx again

So far, all you've done is head-butt against hours and hours of indoctrinated robot stuff. Stop. It's useless.

If you genuinely want to reach your wife, take some time to learn how.

Good advice, jgnat. When directly confronted, men and women will defend the WTS. It is only natural, and at one time I would have done the same. Women are more emotional, and must be dealt with on that level. She probably does not care right now about the 607 issue. But, she is intensly interested in her child and her future, I am sure. Use that angle.

Also, appreciate that you have a family, and a wife who loves you, it seems. Start by complementing her as a good mother, not by browbeating her as stupid. You have a family to come to after a hard day's work, when many men do not. It is worth the effort to be patient, and slowly find which way to make the approach to help her.

She says that your not allowed to question the society after youve been baptized.

But the PO also said you can only ask questions before you are baptized.

Are these rules in writing? Did Jehovah make these rules? Then it should be in writing somewhere. If not, then it is a Man made rule. And what does the WT say about following man?

Did John the Baptist allow questions only before baptism?

Does this mean you are supposed to know everything there is before you are baptized? That there is nothing new to learn or discover after baptism that should elicit a question?

Did Jesus ever baptise anyone? What were the requirements for baptism then?

Allowed? That word is offensive. Why should a person ask permission to gain knowledge and understanding.

Did Jesus have a two question rule?
