So sorry. I have had pets die and it hurts, especially if you've had them in the family for many years. I try to remember that although their lives are not particularly long, they have been loved and cared for in the best possible way.

sweet pictures - I am so sorry your poor little dog has cancer. I once kept a cat alive for a while, who had a fatal disease. I finally realized that he was suffering and I was being selfish, so I took him back to the vet and had him put down. Poor old kitty. He had a good life, though, and that does make me feel better.

I have two beliefs: One, they let us know when they want to stick around, and they also let us know when they are ready to go.
And two: I believe they never really leave us.
