    I suspect I'm not getting the full meaning of this thread, but I am going to dive in anyway because I like numbers :-)

    Individual numbers aren't that interesting to me (with the exceptions of special ones perhaps, such as exceptionally large prime numbers, or pi, or 2 simply because it is the "oddest prime" LOL). Patterns and relationships amongst numbers, on the other hand, are an entirely different story. Witness the beauty of the Fibonacci series as an endlessly elegant example:

    0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233, 377, 610, 987, 1597, 2584, 4181, 6765, ...

    Who gives a crap John! The only number that matters is my bank account number!....number of bowel movements a week...number I times I had sex.
