I think the child of cover 1 gives a much better idea of what your book is about than the eye peeking through the keyhole. That one says something quite different to me - more about spying or peeping at someone.

The little child, for sure.
Brings tears to my eyes when I think of all the times my arse got hauled back to the coatroom. I was hit with the hanger. Nowadays that would be considered child abuse.

The first one. The eye looking through the keyhole doesn't grab me emotionally the way the other one does.
