No... you've got the right idea... you're timing is a bit off.
You need to rip them up when the individual can hear - or see - you do it. This is very frustating to a JW - (although some view it as persecution). If the mags just disappear - they get a smug 'someone is reading them' feeling.
If they know that they are being ripped in half - and even see it being done - eventually they will stop polluting the area.

Funny... or it's just my experience...
I do some work for an active JW who owns a medical type business.
And there are ZERO watchtower pubs in the waiting room. I could find NONE.
I was like totally prepared to mark stuff up after reading this thread.
What's up whit that?????
Perhaps he is looking to grow his business????
