    Hi megawatt,
    Welcome!

Have a read of the letter at the top of this thread.

    http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/12/150963/1.ashx

I think it will explain many of the same problems you have with the WTS.

It is quite a long read but well worth the time.

    All the best,
    Stephen

This will be a long journey, which I have NO IDEA where it'll take me and hopefully wife will still be at my side

Yes it is a long journey....but but then Life is a "Journey".

Fortunately there is a worldwide Support Gourp. Many of us didn't have this when we left and sadly, some lost all hope and ended their lives, not realizing how precious they were.

We welcome you with Loving hearts. You are so loved and valued!

WHOA! Thanks for the stellar responses!!! Oompa, Very much appreciate the info sent and will be saving this for later tonight after everyone's settled down, read and really meditate the information at hand. Keep 'em coming. Sass_my_frass, I've been searching for a while for hobbies or activities I would enjoy, even being criticized for it, by elders or members who rather hear about my weekly field service hours and door to door experiences. My enjoyment has been 2 wheels (track only) for the last 2 to 3 years and love it. Welcome to the discussion board, Megawatt. You've come to just the right place.

BTW -- if you want to retain your paragraphs, don't use MS Word, perhaps use Notepad to compose your text first before copying it here. And try checking that "automatic CR/LF" box right below the entry panel.

Here's your image for all to see:

Keep your reservoirs full megawatt! And paragraphs aren't passed on if you run Firefox for some reason - on my laptop anyhow so I use an alternative! Good to see your finding alternatives. Maybe you'll add extra paragraphs to your life! If you can get the family out on day trips, walks etc and fill their lives with more fun and see people who do the same!

    Good luck!

Welcome, Megawatt. Don't worry, the journey out IS WELL WORTH IT. I can't imagine my life if I hadn't left.

Welcome to being normal! It's great.

And you are a good person for searching out the truth (meaning the truth about the JWs, not "the truth".) You know.

    welcome megawatt!

i started the journey a lot of months ago and still be here ;) im sure im doing the right though. its not easy to break the barricades in your own brain first. you see evidence you feel whats right but theres the guilt what is there for no reason what makes you think "and what if its the truth despite all this stuff"... remember what you would tell a catholic in fieldservice when he would wonder this about his religion...

    Hello,

I was born in "the truth" and it's difficult getting out. Took me 5 years to deprogram (to not feel like I was a dead man walking).

Take it easy and I hope you are both able to see therapsts. It will help you a lot.

    Best.

    Bryan
