What was the sister df'd for?
This is the part you all will get mad about.
Her sister got pregnant as an older teen. She hid it from everyone until she just
couldn't anymore. My wife became her coach and was took her to the hospital to
have the baby. My wife was very much involved in her sister's life.
Then after the baby is born, the sister finally stops running from the hounders
committee. They DF'ed her, and my wife starts honoring the shunning.
aww man! that's rough. The wifey stood by her through all of that and then she shuns her?!! At least the sister had her through probably one of the roughest times of her life. sad,sad, sad. Yeah, slap her upside the head for me. (just kidding)
What great news. Sisters are forever. My sister was shocked that I accepted her lesbianism so easily, and then her GF and daughter. But family is family, period. Even if we don't really agree with everything a person does.

Could it be that she see that you have not turned into a raving lunatic, are reasonable and kind, in spite of leaving the religion - making the correlation that perhaps the idea of hating everyone who leaves might not be the best idea. Your reasoning was right on. Good work.
I revisited this thread, wanting to BTTT so some more of you could celebrate with me, in case you missed it.
The quote above is making my day. The reality of my wife thinking that hating everybody who leaves WTS is
"wrong" despite WT orders to do so- that gives me a positive thought that can last the day.
