the word "Christian" thrown into everything (seemed to start in the mid to late 90's): Jehovah's Christian Witnesses, Christian congregation, Christian brotherhood, Christian publications

Oh, how about displaying the "fruits" or " fruitage" or "fruitages" of the holy spirit?

I also hated the "Pioneer" term. Sounds like a ranking in Boy Scouts or something.

    "Self-abuse" (masturbation).

"loving" as in Jehovah's loving discipline, the loving direction of the elders, loving reminders from the "slave".

The "sheep-like ones" of Jehovah's organization
    Are they "in the truth"?

"In the truth" is the worst! I always cringed at that one. What does it mean to be IN an abstract concept!?! Why couldn't they say "In agreement with the truth"? I guess those extra words would take time away from the field misery. Or if you replace the word the word "truth" with the word "cult", then it totally makes sense!

My mother uses this phrase even with "worldly" people, and I just shake my head and think what wackos they must have thought we were.

I think the writer of this Kingom Ministry tried to fall back on every nauseating cliche he could think of : Perhaps he asked himself "What would Jesus do if he were here"

    km 9/93 p. 1 pars. 2-4

"We must keep growing spiritually if we are to survive the destruction of this wicked system of things and be preserved into God’s new world.—Compare Philippians 3:12-16.

    3

RemainSpirituallyClean: In order to be fully acceptable before Jehovah, we must be cleansed of "every defilement of flesh and spirit." (2 Cor. 7:1) Once we are clean, why would we want to ‘roll in the mire’ of this wicked old world again? (Compare 2 Peter 2:22.) We must be determined to remain spiritually strong and clean. Then we will not be ignorant of Satan’s evil designs and be overreached, falling into sin and away from Jehovah’s favor.—2 Cor. 2:11.

HeedWiseCounsel: Proverbs 15:22 points out: "In the multitude of counselors there is accomplishment." Remember, though, that the man who spoke those words, Solomon, later allowed ‘his wives to incline his heart to follow other gods’ because he failed to heed God’s counsel about not taking foreign wives. (1 Ki. 11:1-4) So unless we personally heed wise counsel, how can we expect to be effective in Jehovah’s service or set an example worthy of being imitated? (1 Tim. 4:15) The Bible’s counsel will help us to safeguard our heart. (Prov. 4:23) Loving what Jehovah loves, hating what he hates, constantly seeking his guidance and the doing of what pleases him are a sure protection."

    Gathering instead of party.

The new order - a bit Orwellian, I always thought. The new system.

    Heart condition. Love that one.

But what I really don't like is the cult-spin put on ordinary words. Like worldly - the literal translastion in Witness-speak is "not a Jehovah's Witness", whereas inthe English language it means:

    Worldly

    adj., -li·er , -li·est .

    1. Of, relating to, or devoted to the temporal world.
    2. Experienced in human affairs; sophisticated or worldly-wise

In English, worldly is not a negative word, it is neutral to positive. But in Witness-speak your dear old innocent spinster librarian aunt is "worldly", while an elder "experienced in human affairs and sophisticated" may not be described as "worldly"!

Abuse of language like this is part of mind-control.

I think that "Wait on Jehovah" is the absolute worst thing they came up with in a phrase. This basically gives Jehovah permission to take forever for something I need yesterday, with their blessing. Usually, He took that liberty. It also means not doing anything that might improve your own situation yourself.

I also hated those thoughts about Je-cockroach-hovah's Witlesses being law abiding (yea, right--as long as there aren't two witnesses to the child molestations), being the happiest people on the planet, and that doing Jehovah's work makes one happy (well, then why did I often go out in field circus or to a boasting session feeling depressed and come out wishing I was disfellowshipped?).

That spiritual food is enough to make me puke. All it is is pure monosodium glutamate. At least at the Table of Demons, I am getting better "food" at a better time than at Jehovah BAGHEAD's table. Much of it I am getting from others right here on this apostate site. Two Watchtowers? You should trust in Jehovah to answer prayers because He answered a few and showcased it, when those were just so His selfish will could happen? No education, and that about 6 weeks before I was supposed to have had my a$$embly? I think I will stick with the Table of Demons.
