    A DIFFERENT CONGREGATION
Through all my years as a Witness, the times past were not always good.
Too many mistakes were being made, brothers not doing what they should.
As I look back now, there are times, I can recall,
When I didn't look forward to going to the Kingdom Hall.
The brothers showed no love. They didn't seem to care.
The elders were unyielding, demanding and unfair.
Meetings were dull and boring. Field service was a chore.
There was little "Pioneer Spirit," while going from door to door.
It didn't get any better, as I had hoped it would.
I felt the day was coming, when I would leave Jehovah's house for good.
But happily it's much different now. Jehovah has been so kind.
He has allowed me, this wonderful congregation to find.
The spirit is so strong here. The brothers really care.
I couldn't be more happy, there's nothing better anywhere!
Life in Jehovah's organization is just as I would dream,
But don't get me wrong; things are not as they would seem.
You see, I'm part of the same congregation,
And I'm attending the same Kingdom Hall.
I fellowship with the same brothers and sisters,
And the same body of elders all.
No, the changes that were made are not as they might seem,
For all the changes that were made, were changes made in ME.
Now I do love the whole brotherhood -- there's no other in the world to find.
But instead of being critical, I try to be loving, forgiving, and kind.
I realize we are all imperfect, it's plain now for me to see.
While I was trying to put up with my brothers, they were putting up with me!
We are all part of Jehovah's one flock, a nd that's where I want to be.
If my brothers are good enough for Jehovah, Then they're good enough for Me!

This drivel fits the Watchtower technique of subtly implying we are individually valueless.

Any dissatisfaction is entirely your fault.

It's a wonder more Witnesses with low self esteem and depression don't just give up now and top themselves.

What a cute little poem. Perhaps the Corporation can put it to music and add it to the song book.

In fact, some of us actually have this situation. Many of us on this board were once hounders, and some were even lead hounders. They were ever-critical of others, waiting for someone to make a little mistake and then trying to control others. And yet, we saw the light and quit those ways. We faded from the Tower. Some got disfellowshipped. Some sent in disassociation letters. And some are still active Witlesses but are struggling to get out.

Regardless, those who have seen through the illusion (whether they are nominally active or not) are no longer going to believe in enforcing such folly. Most, if not all, have seen the double standard and refuse to acknowledge it or enforce it. We have had crackdowns on the Internet, reading independent books on religion, discussions about Watchtower material or the Bible in independent groups, going to college, and now oral sex among married couples--and not one of us still gives a damn about what others freely choose to do. Such people are no longer the jerks that the hounder-hounders and the Witch Power Libel and Crap Society work so hard in making them. In such capacity, we realize that we all make stupid mistakes without branding them as wicked for doing so (like we used to when we used to be active, sincere Witlesses).

LMAO!! My mums friend whose a dub writes sickening saccharine simplistic kingdom rhyming couplets and puts them into cards.
